"Quilt of Valor" by Judi Ritchie

My neighbor Marilyn and I worked on a Quilt of Valor for our Quild's Challenge this past summer. The pattern is a floating star done in red and 2 shades of blue batik on a white background. Along the side borders is a gold material that had to be incorporated into the front of the quilt in some fashion. The sashing contains a decorative star stitch. We also made a pillow case (from the same fabrics) for presentation and a small placemat from all the little triangles that were cut. Marilyn did a fantastic job on that! We received 3rd. prize in our category. A total of 75 quilts were donated to Quilts of Valor from our Guild.

judi, your quilt is beautiful and congrats on  3rd place.

now, for  just a wee small favor.  i would love to see what's behind the quilt on the design wall behind the top picture.  there are some very intriguing things lurking there.

oh, and i just found the gold you used  in the border  very nice.   gini
