"A Hunter's Wonderland" by Linda

My son-in-law is an avid hunter and during deer season he never misses a chance to hunt.  He hunts, not only for the sport but to supply meat for his family.  Nothing goes to waste, not even the skin.  It is cured and softened and the family then makes wonderfully soft slippers.  I made this quilt for him as a Christmas present this coming Christmas.  I guess you could call the quilt "A Hunter's Wonderland".  It was quilted with a stipple pattern for the center and the outer border was done with an oak leaf and acorn pattern.   Linda

I like the layout and the borders. Is all the fabric from panels or is some of it "fussy cut"? Nice job either way, Linda :-)

Beautiful quilt.  Everytime my DH goes to the LQS with me he picks out deer panels.  I love the way you have done these.

My son is a hunter also.  He is now 17 and has made 2 successful trips, a doe and a young buck.  I know he would love this pattern.  Wonderful choice of colors.

What a neat quilt for a hunter.  My son is a hunter too I made a small wall hanging with the deer and ducks it turned out nice.  Might try your quilt idea later.   You did a great job.
