For Christmas this year (2009), my nephew asked for a quilt with a beach scene. The concept and project were quite challenging. How does one go about creating an ocean, beach and sky with to reflect nature's variances in depth and color? I accomplished it piecing uneven 6" strips of fabric. The fish, people, sun and birds are machine appliquéd. If you look closely - you will see a seahorse and two lobsters in the ocean. With a little imagination and a lot of creativity - you can accomplish anything. Happy Quilting.
