"Dot to Dot" by CJ Hines

Here is the baby quilt I made for my daughter-in-law. I had started a 
forum discussion about color choice problems and I finally got the 
quilt done to my satisfaction and my daughter-in-law loved it! The 
pattern I used was from a Fons & Porter issue in 2007, called Dot to 
Dot.

Your quilt turned out beautiful, I love the color choices. Was it terribly difficult with all the circles?

That's beautiful!  Were the dots hard?  Are they appliqued?

You've inspired me.  I'm going to go looking for that pattern!

The dots were appliqued and not hard at all. I used some of my machine's decorative stitches to highlight the circles. And more great news--my grandson was born Friday and came home from the hospital today so he can snuggle with his new quilt!

CJ - I love our quilt - it is beautiful and your use of color was fantastic.  thank you for sharing with us.  Congratulations on the new grandson - I have one due in Feb/Mar...can't wait!

CJ I am so happy to see a quilt with circles that I think I might could do! I love this one but have been very afraid of committing to another thing in my life going around in circles :) It is beautiful.

This is absolutely stunning!  It just grabs you with the combination of colors and shapes.  Super job!  Your grandson is a lucky boy.

looking and looking through my bestfriends mothers stock pile of Fons & Porter for this pattern and just have not spotted it yet...sure does look like a future project to me! Hope I can find it and do it one day.

I've been wanting to do a quilt with circles also.  I love the whole pattern.   It turned out beautiful. Congrats on your new Grandson!!

Your color choices turned out so very well.  It's a baby quilt, but not done in the typical "cutesy" pastels.  This will grow with the baby into the toddler years and beyond.  Great work!!!!
