Second Place at the Texas State Fair 2009 (Hand Appliquéd and Quilted):
Block of the Month 2000:
"I cannot count my day complete till needle, thread and fabric meet."
Looks like you've mastered quilting. Nice job on all of them.
Elaine - I wonder what 1st place was because in my eye your quilt is a blue ribbon winner. very very nice.
thank you so much for sharing your art with us - thank you!
I can't wait to go to the Fair on Thursday so I can see your quilt in person. It is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Elaine, Three beautiful quilts! Congratulations on your second place ribbon, but I have to agree with Althea, it's a blue ribbon in my book too. I would love to see you post them in a forum or show and tell so that we could get a closer view. Fabrics you used in the flag really created a stunning effect of movement in the quilt. You are very talented and thank you for sharing these gems.
love the quilts, how long did it take you to do the first one?
Elaine, I love that first quilt. It's fantastic. Definitely a winner.
Love your quilts Elaine. The lone star brings back memories of TX history...
