I love my mom.
We've always gotten along really well and now that we work together, there's a whole new aspect of our relationship to enjoy. I can honestly say that we've annoyed each other a total of about 3 times since we began doing the show together in an official way. I'm headed to Iowa next weekend to prepare for the next taping of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting on PBS and I'm super excited. I've been incredibly busy with various projects for several months now and I need some “Mom time.”
This morning I felt like sharing this “Love ya, Ma!” sentiment, and I thought it would be cool to find a picture of my mom from the early days of the show or one of her and Liz from a 1980s book jacket. When I typed “Fons and Porter, 1980,” into the Google image search field, however, this is what came up:
I have no idea who these people are. I have no idea where they are. I'm pretty sure neither my mom or Liz is present, but I really, really love the fashion. The fondue looks amazing, too.
See you soon, Mom.
