Patchwork, Patchwork Everywhere — Like at Starbucks…

Anyone who reads this lil' blog knows that I get wildly excited when I see quilt-, patchwork-, or applique-inspired art, design, or reference in unlikely places. I've seen quilt or quilt-like images on books, in magazines, on the street — all kinds of spots. It warms my heart every time.

You'd be surprised how influential patchwork is in the general environment! Especially here in a city like Chicago — who knew quilts were everywhere?

I like to post pictures of such things. I found a really good one the other day. It's not EXACTLY patchwork, but it's close. When I saw it, I thought, “quilt top,” so there's got to be something to it.

What do you think? Think Starbucks was inspired by a quilt for the graphic design of their “Tribute Blend” launch?

It's totally a quilt top, y'all. And can I get a soy cappuccino?

This is too funny! Last week I too noticed this graphic design at a local Starbucks.  I told my husband that I really must be addicted to quilting to be seeing this pattern on a quilt instead of a window.  Now I don't feel too bad.. (husband chuckled)
