I'm sure that there are so many other methods for sewing HST out there, because of those bias seams. I like using Thangles or even marking out a continuous grid, to make many HST at once. Having to cut and mark individual triangles is too time consuming.

LOL, nothing computerized about this old girl. All mechanical and she clatters just like my joints in the morning! DH just turned up the volume on the TV and let me have at her.

It always makes me feel good to have another piece cut out. I must mention that my second machine is used for craft sewing not 1/4" and the third is a vintage Necchi that belonged to Mother and I learned to sew on it at 12 YO. When last my machine was in the hospital it was gone for 7 weeks and my blessed dealer gave me one to use while mine was there. Whew what we go thru to sew our passions.

talk sweet to Jenny and I'll bet she will be all to happy to be back in your good graces., & sew sew sew the perfect seams, CarylAnne

Basically, I started with a 8" circle template I had. Once that was drawn in the center I used the 2.5" square template to make a 1/4" mark every 1/4" around the first circle, until I had a completed 10.5" circle, and so on, 4 more times. Does that make any sense?
