After taking the Thomas the Train project out of the drawer, I realized that I had pieced the blocks but never quilted them as I went along. So my wish came true..."I wish I had just pieced the top and then quilted it”. So, I'm on a roll now. I already have the blocks sewn together and I'm getting ready to add the borders. I hope the rest of it goes as fast because I'll be able to put it on my DONE list!! HIP-HIP-HOORAY!!!
Hope everyone had a very HAPPY 4th and Happy Quilting!!
I have one UFO, a quilt that I started two years ago for my grandson. I'm one of those people who likes to take something from the start to the finish and that UFO is just sitting there bugging me. It doesn't matter where I hide it, it always manages to pop up and bug me. It's one of those "Quilt as you go" quilts. It seemed like a great way to make a quilt...maybe a baby quilt, but not a full-size quilt. Now, I wish I had just pieced the top and then quilted it. It would probably have been finished by now. Well, that's my plan...at least for today! Happy Quilting Everyone!!
Day one of my new blog...This is something new for me but I really wanted a place to keep track of the quilts that I make. I've made a number of quilts over the past 15 years but never had a formal way of keeping track of what I've made. This should be a great help. Right now, I'm trying to make up my mind what to make next. I've been looking at the Fons and Porter show where Marianne and Mary Fons make a Christmas tabletopper. The show was called "Christmas Memories". I absolutely love that table topper. I think I finally have all the supplies I need to make it. I have a huge stash of fabric and tons of patterns that I want to make but...which one to make? It's easy when there's a wedding or baby shower. There just isn't enough time in the day...
How do you decide what to make next? Anyone have a suggestion?
