Fishes and Loaves Pattern - Fantastic Scrappy Quilt

Published Sat, Oct 22 2011 4:29 AM

Had a request for the Fishes and Loaves Pattern. I received this pattern from the quilt group I belong to in Phoenix called Reap What You Sew. They make quilts all year and in November distribute  over 2,000 quilts to various charities such as childrens' hospitals, foster care, Ronald McDonald House, hospice, veterans. The reason they nicknamed the pattern Fishes and Loaves is because we never seem to run out of pieces!  I have run into the same situation at home as well. I have a shoebox that always has pieces cut. It's a great pattern when you need a quilt fast or you want to make a quilt without having to put too much thought into it and still have a fantastic quilt!

Warnings: You will have a pieces left over for many more quilts like it! You will make more than 1 of these quilts. (I have lost track of how many I have made!) It can be addictive! Great charity quilt.

You are welcome Debby. I'm just now figuring out how the comments sections work. Be sure to post a photo so I can see how it turns out.
