What a day!

What a day this has been....doctor, crying, hearing 2 more friends had passed away (that makes 3 this summer), having to cancel seeing a friend who has cancer this week because of my cough...sometimes I wonder where is God in all of this. Of course, I know the answer. After all I'm a parish ministry assistant and Stephen Minister, but that doesn't mean I don't ask too or I don't have bad days. After years of being an independent woman and now being a shut-in doesn't help any either. Sorry folks, I'm really down today.  I need to keep remembering to just turn it over to God. Okay, I'm better now...on to better things

On a positive note, I spent the day cutting out patterns....outfits for my little Mila, an apron for one of my little friends (Hannah) who helped me make paper the other day, an apron for Hannah's mommy (who takes me on errands frequently), a Christmas runner for one of my best friends. Plus I collected patterns and fabrics together to do more cutting tomorrow...my aching back and shoulders! Did you realize Christmas is sneaking up fast? Why they are already putting Christmas stuff out in the stores and Halloween isn't even here yet!!!!

I've also started making my Christmas cards now that I have the paper made. The first 3 or 4 cards have turned out pretty good. Of course, by the time I get to the end of them, they may not look like the first few do! I'm kinda new to card making, but it looks like a new way to keep the creative juices flowing. Any one out there into card making that might have a tip or two to share??

That's it for today. See, God is good! Have a blessed evening.
