But sad to say My grammy is gone, and I havent quilted in proably 20 some years. But my oldest daughter did paper quilting in school and loved it. My youngest daughter is getting married in 2013, and the oldest daughter wants to make a wedding singnature quilt. We know most of the basics, border for sewing, pens and material to use, how to put a picture or two on the fabric, but my question is, How to finish the bottom of the quilt, (the back) ? Do i need to put batting inbetween the layers, and can i just knot each square. Im thinking that even if i machine quilt the top, the stiching will go through some of the signatures.
