I have been using the quilting spray for awhile. It really does work and what a time saver!

Does this quilting spray wash out eventually?

I've used the quilting spray and though it's very helpful for smaller quilts, it was very difficult to get a king size quilt I made positioned smooth and square.

I was not able to play the Spray video.  Why?

Thanks Jodie, I am presently using this tip on my latest wall hanging and it is working out beautifully. I think if I use it on a large quilt I'll tape my backing down , roll my batting and quilt top like you would if you were using contact paper over a large area so that I can keep it more manageable and have a friend or my husband help me unroll it evenly as I go. I may still throw a few pins in for added security, Great tip. I wouldn't have even known stuff like this existed if it weren't for these helpful video's .

When I sprayed the fabric and not the batting it often took an hour to smooth out the fabric on bigger quilts. Not any more.  I have found that only spraying the batting works best for all my quilts but especially the larger quilts.  I never spray the fabrics; only the batting.  I spray the batting and put down the backing starting from the middle and working out to smooth the fabric. Then I turn the over the two pieces so the batting is on top and the backing is on the bottom and spray the batting again to put the front of the quilt on the batting, again starting from the middle and smoothing my way out.    Love 505 spray.

Does this work on all batting? I purchased some batting lately that just seems to absorb the spray, I have to spray the fabric in order to make anything stick together.  Has anyone else had this problem?

The sound is so low I can't hear what's being said.  I have my volume up to full.  Is there something wrong with my computer or this video?

I love using spray adhesive.  What brand was used in the video?  When I use mine, I have to spray more to get that kind of hold and the stuff is on the expensive side.  I have used it for wallhangings, table runners and a 20 block t-shirt quilt.

I had to click on the arrow to get it to start playing.  For sound you might need to check  your computer settings on the sound.

I appreciated the tip about spraying the batting and not the backing or top fabrics. I have always sprayed as shown in this video but agree that it would be easier to smooth the fabric doing it this way. I always use pins in addition to the basting spray. I worry about the pieces shifting if I don't as the quilt has to be handled, rolled etc. so much during the quilting process if you are using a standard sewing machine for quilting as I am.

The volume is very low, and I have my computer set at high volume.  I got the gist of it though, and plan to try it in the future.

I love the basting spray.  I do mostly hand quilting and it helps keep everything in place without pins.  I do spray the batting rather than the fabric.

I had no problem viewing the great video.  The volumn on the "video" itself showed it was up as loud as it can get, but still to low so I just reached up and turned my speakers up a notch or two.  Perfect.  I just recently started using the spray and I would think this would cheaper then buying the new heat and hold batting that is now available.  Thoughts on this?

I started using the spray years ago and found that it gummed up the needle on my machine.  Would have to keep wiping off the needle to get the residue off before I could start sewing again.  Quit using it.

can never view any of these videos - a wasted aspect of membership - someone needs to fix this feature since many folks seem to have the same issue

is it just my computer, or is the volume not so loud?  I've adjust everything as loud as it gets??

Video won't load. Also had trouble maneuvering other parts of your site. Membership rather expensive--site should be easier to use.

Is there a problem with gumming up needles on machine or hand sewing using the spray?
