Question of the Week....
Hi Kaye and friends....I don't have a tip but would like someone to help me with a tip or technique. I would like ideas on how to finish the edge of a wall hanging; I do not want to use a traditional binding. I would like the piece to look as if it is on a canvas...a wrapped around to the back affect. Any ideas out there in quilting land???
cathy@rselec.com
Q: How do you piece batting together to make a long strip? Do you zigzag it together flat or use a seam? K: I think you should overlap and then zig zag. You could butt them together but the zig zag stitch may not catch both edges. It is best to overlap.

Tips and Humor From Kaye....
How Much Fabric Should I Buy???
A Lot!
Fabric is the palette I need to create a beautiful quilt. When the creative bug hits, I don't want to have to shop for fabric. It often hits in the middle of the night, and fabric shop owners would frown on being open. So, I feed my stash regularly, and I feed it well. I very rarely buy fabric for a particular quilt. Instead, I make the quilts from my stash. And guess what? Since I already have the fabric and I'm using up with I have, my quilt doesn't cost me any money. It's FREE!!
