Well as crazy as our winter was and as hot as our summer has been, there's no telling what's next. Typically around the middle of August we start to notice little things like the ferns in the forests dying off, the first tinges of the earliest maple leaves changing, impending winter types of stuff. So because our winter was so long, and our summer has been so hot I figured fall was a ways off. Not so! On my way to the office just this morning, I saw the first signs of a dying fern. Not good! Not good at all. But what to do? Well, we'll just take it with a grain of salt and start our autumn celebrations like we do every year. |
