Hi to the Quilters in Alaska August in Alaska is terrific. Those of you who haven't been to Fairbanks would be surprised at how warm it gets, sometimes in the 80's. I have been told by experts that the Fairbanks area is the hottest and the coldest place in Alaska, but I am not going to be there when it is the coldest.
My seminar day in Fairbanks is August 23, 2011, at the Fairbanks Princess Hotel. The price is only $45, which includes the day-long seminar and lunch. We are also working on setting up a seminar day in Anchorage; watch the website for more details.
During the seminar, you will see what's new! You've seen me strip my quilts on TV on Kaye's Quilting Friends. Now watch me strip in person. Making quilts can be easier than you think with my original techniques. There will be something for everyone-beginner to more advanced. Something for the Pointless and the Pointed people! Lots of ideas for that next project! Learn to eliminate the slow-downs in quiltmaking.
I will also share some of the funny stories that have happened to me on the road to quilting.
