It may be dreary and cold outside, but Quilt Out Loud! found the top get crafty shop in the City of Brotherly Love to open the show. Surrounded by bright, modern cotton fabrics for quilting, garment and home dec sewing, Jodie and Mark play catch-up showing what they’ve been up to. Jodie visits with of Pam Mahshie of Baby Lock demonstrating the amazing drawing tablet attached to their sewing machine. Just draw on the tablet and it will come right up on the screen and stitch for you.

Mark meets up with Allie Aller, a renowned crazy quilter, in the weaving room at the Newark Museum. Allie shows Jodie how she chooses fabrics, prepares for sewing, and sews - even curved seams- while making a block. Then, Jodie and Mark meet back up at Spool in the shop’s workroom for their book review and quilt show of sample quilts featured in the books.
