Flyers are out!

Flyers are out - well at least 2 - as 2 of our big box grocery stores have taken down their Community Bulletin Boards....the library was very receptive - and I do have a local business that will put my cards out (whoops - have to make those up!) Studio space is 99% ready - waiting for those calls to sign up for classes.....so now the waiting begins...Was going to start another one today - but got distracted, so after my outside work tomorrw - I will spend the evening cutting and sewing!! Can't wait for both!

I have taken pictures - but alas - my computer has been so screwed up - I can't download any pics from my camera.....so far - I have 3 'stations' set up - waiting for DH to attach a table top to a metal frame) once held a treadle machine), that would be the 4th. Bought bed risers to place under the legs of the IKEA dining table that I will be using as the cutting are down there - it's a perfect height!! Even for little ones. My 'library' is set and ready for inquisitive minds!! I do have 4 windows that let in lots of natural light, and have 2 large light fixtures inthe ceiling, so I am not too worried about having to get other lighting, until winter....I will be putting up the flannel wall for design purposes....and samples are on the walls.....my 'flyer' will be going up tomorrow, and hopefully my phone will ring off the hook???? I will be having 6 kids at a time, and hopefully will be able to add days...so much for that area...

Did up a Stack and Whack the other day....it came out so cool - I have heard of that method last a year or so ago.....and had a piece of fabic that I didn't think I was going to be using - so it was the guinea pig for me!! It has 9 blocks...of course the directions had me cutting the squares into 8 sections, so I had to come up with something for the 9th - so I used th square of the original fabric - sort of to show before and after!!

no sewing today - grandson came to visit...did get some 'freebies' rinsed and ironed after he left - can't turn my back on him for a minute!! And boy does he tire me out!! Gotta love him!! We go to a playgroup in the morning - So I am hanging with a bunch of new mommies, and 1 other grandma!!

Going to call it a night - have to report into the office tomorrow morning - then to gown shopping for my daughter - going to be a great day!!

Ah yes - enter the world of cyberspace and blogging - what would my mom think??? I am new to this club - and hopefully will reap the benefits!! I can't wait to meet new folks and share ideas!! I hope to post often with the news of my new space taqing shape and kids coming to learn to quilt!!!
