The quilts are starting to come in!
I thought I would update everyone on the quilts for Japan we are receiving from generous quilters around the country! We looked at the first few boxes that arrived, but now they are coming in so F-A-S-T that we haven't had time to open all the boxes (there are only six of us on the Quilters Newsletter staff and we've got two issues in production as we speak!). We'll get there, but we may need some volunteers–anyone live in Colorado?
The pile of quilts on the table (above) were driven down from a group in Utah–I think they brought us close to 200 quilts–Wow!
So much for getting any work done!
Our UPS guy asked us if we were having some sort of party when it all started. Now he knows to bring a dolly because every day brings a pile of boxes! Even the small flat rate shipping boxes sometimes have more than one quilt in them, imagine what treasures the big boxes are holding?!
We'll stack 'em as high as we can!
We're so grateful to everyone for all their efforts so far, and in the future. Sorry we can't let you know individually that your box has arrived, but please know that we appreciate every single one. I know our Japanese sisters and brothers will be overwhelmed. Keep ‘em coming!
