We get stacks of new books every week here at Quilters Newsletter. Just a couple of weeks ago we gave away a stack of 15 books to celebrate surpassing 3000 followers on our Facebook page.
We review 4 books in every issue, but the sheer volume of books we get makes it impossible to review them all in print. I just sorted through a stack and found two I thought were interesting. Both were published in 2010 by The Kansas City Star Co.
The first is Sew Into Sports: Quilts for the Fans in Your Life by Barbara Brackman.

With March Madness right around the corner, I thought some of you might be interested in this little book. At only 56 pages, it's short and sweet, but it's packed with cute and simple quilts featuring basket balls, sneakers, mascots, bowling balls, logos, roller skates, foot balls, soccer balls, and more. Each pattern also includes a little story about the people the quilts were made for.
The second is Greetings from TuscaDelphia: Travel-Inspired Projects from Lizzie B. Cre8ive by Liz and Beth Hawkins.

Here in Golden it's starting to feel like spring and I have road trips on my mind. This 112-page book features a selection of travel-themed projects. Using simple piecing, applique, and embellishment you can make all sorts of pretty things. Projects include a “wish you were here” postcard quilt, luggage tags, a travel pillow, pouches, a backpack, and a nice selection of other quilts.
Comment below for a chance to win one of these books! Let me know in your comment which one you'd rather have. Good luck!
