&lt;p&gt;April 22, 2010 - Farmington, MN . . .&lt;br /&gt;Kim Brunner was named the 2009 Teacher of the Year at the Machine Quilter&amp;rsquo;s Exposition (MQX)&amp;nbsp; in Providence, Rhode Island April 16, 2010. Brunner, an international machine quilting teacher and award-winning quilter, was nominated for the fourth straight year.&amp;nbsp; Janet Lee Santeusanio, co-founder of MQX, states &amp;ldquo;I hold Kim in the highest regard amongst teachers in the machine quilting industry.&amp;rdquo;&lt;br /&gt;Kim Brunner teaches machine quilting techniques to beginner and intermediate students. Creator and star of very popular training DVDs, she travels to major quilting venues and guilds to impart her uniquely humorous style. She is sought after as a banquet speaker and also is an accomplished writer, penning numerous magazine articles, including an expert advice column, Ask Kimmy!, for Machine Quilting Unlimited. &lt;br /&gt;A frequent guest on such venues as QNNTV&amp;rsquo;s Quilt It online TV program, Brunner is a master at effectively using templates, tools and threads. In this opening segment Kim provides the knowledge and skills to create those gorgeous feathers that are a hallmark of quilting feathers. Broken down, the technique is very simple. Kim shows viewers how to make the individual shapes that make up a feather design.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
