My 20 year old daughter is on the local committee for Realy for Life in Kodiak, AK.  She has been involved for the past three years and the past two in an organizing capacitiy.  My brother has bladder cancer, my sister-in-law beat breast cancer, and numerous friends are fighting the battle.  I am a relatively new passionate quilter and am going to make several wall hangings and lap quilts from the design in the October issue of Quilters' World for sale and auction at this years Relay for Life.

I love to quilt and would love to make a quilt using this fabric for a friend who is a breast cancer survivor.   We both participate in the Relay for Life.  

My husband's aunt passed away a few years ago just 6 weeks after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I made a small breast cancer ribbon quilt to hang in my office in Memory of her. Early detection is so easy with a monthly self exam. We shouldn't get so busy with our daily lives that we forget to take care of ourselves. Quilt Pink!

I quilt but have never done a project for breast cancer awareness. I always donate funds to the Susan B. Komen foundation. This is a disease that can be cured with early detection. Get those ANNUAL mammograms and save the ta tas!

I recently walked with my friend, a breast cancer survivor in CIBC run for the cure. Our team, Team for Dorothy were spread all across Canada. The team was started a few years ago for my friends Mother. That family has 4 generations of women who where breast cancer survivors. The team raised over $5,000.00 this year. I have, like most have been touched by some sort of cancer over the years and because of this I think it is so important for us all to help find a cure. I have made lunch bags, quilts and dog scarfs to help raise money to end cancers. My quilting guild also makes quilts for Victoria Quilts that are given to people battling cancer. We have also made quilts to locals or friends to help give them some comfort during their battle. This fabric would be used to give someone comfort & to raise funds to find a cure. I haven't made quilts for breast cancer, but I have made pillows and stuffed animals.  I'm currently going through treatment myself - just finished chemo and started radiation this week.  I would love to be able to use this fabric to make items for all of the friends I have made since being diagnosed.  During my treatments I was gifted with several useful items made by volunteers, and it would be nice to give something back.

The only one I have made was for my mom some years ago. I would like to share my quilting a this would be a wonderful gift to share with someone

My local quilt shop brings the quilting community together once a year for a fundraising event called TickledPink. We spend an all-nighter quilting, laughing and celebrating life while we bid on silent auction items and enjoy raffle prizes. It's the event of the year!!

Hi.  Found out last night that my dear friend in Edmonton has stage 3 grade 3 breast cancer and have started a quilt for her.  It would be very nice to include your fabrics in her quilt.  She is a very quiet person and this quilt will bring comfort to her and to me.  Cancer is all around us and we need to be there and support everyone and anyone who has been stricken with this disease.  

My daughter and I have been making and giving lap quilts to friends that have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  We use assorted pink ribbon fabrics to make the quilts We just delivered the fourth quilts 3 weeks ago to a young woman that Rachel graduated from high school with. Allie is 27 and underwent a bilateral mastectomy.  She has already started her chemo and used her quilt during the infusion.  It's our way of providing a hug to our friends that are diagnosed with breast cancer and having treatment.

I am a 7 year breast cancer survivor!  I love to quilt and this fabric would be perfect for the October celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness.  Right now I have shawls I gift to those I find out have cancer.  What could be nicer than a lap sized quilt for those lonely times in the middle of the night during your battle?  Super!

I don't quilt specifically for breast cancer, but I make prayer quilts for those who are fighting or suffering from all types of cancers.  

I have a small business and make glycerin soap with a pink ribbon on it; I donate 3 of the $5 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. I also make fabric bowls. I plan on making bowls with this fabric and donate most of the proceeds as well. My mother had breast cancer and have lost a friend to the disease when she was only 30. I have also been a part of a study of the efficacy of one drug vs. another which showed positive effects for the drug I took.

I would like to make a quilt in remembrance for my cousin who died from breast cancer.

Having recently retired, I am considering joining the Victoria's Quilts gang locally.  During my career I have seen, and tried to be a support to many people suffering from breast cancer, as well as other cancers.  These fabrics would make a nice Victoria's Quilt.

A couple years ago I was making crochet hats for local women undergoing chemo.  If I won, I'd make something for the local breast cancer group.

My friend Poppy and I were diagnosed with breast cancer 19 years ago. I've been cancer free for this whole time, but can't say the same about Poppy, she has been fighting for her life all this time, and recently has had to under go more chemo and radiation, so I'm making her a lap quilt when she goes for treatment. I've made many through out the years for hospitals and care centers, and believe we all should support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I am a beginner.  A dear friend is battling breast cancer now.  I would love to make a quilt for her.  Her sister died from breast cancer 10 years ago.  This friend has been supporting breast cancer awareness and research since her sister was ill.  She has also involved her daughters in fund raising for research.  A quilt would be a great way to acknowledge her involvement and hope for her good health.

My group has several members who are survivors or are undergoing treatment at present.  We work to make quilts to help others.  Would love to add this fabric to our stash.

As a daughter of a beloved mother who was taken too soon by this disease, and a two time survivor myself, I'm interest in winning these, so I can create something personal for my two daughters as a remembrance of Grandma Jo, and a reminder to take care of their own health.

I make Fight Like a Girl Teal quilts out of blocks sent to me from Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and US and we've raised money and awareness for Cervical Cancer whom a friend of mine is currently fighting.  I've made a quilt for Jamie's Journey which is a foundation started by a mother who lost her 26 year old daughter to breast cancer.  This quilt found it's way to her and was to date the most important and impacting quilt I've ever made.  I have video of us giving the quilt to Jamies mother at the fundraiser I had brought to.  It's too long of a story to type but would love to tell it someday.  It's the reason I still quilt for cause.

I love to quilt and have made a number of things donated to breast cancer events.

I just finished surgery and treatment for breast cancer. I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction. Cancer was also in 26 lymph nodes. Iraised awareness for breast cancer by sposoring a supper for early detection. I have already made one lap quilt and have purchase the Northcott Stonehenge 2 1/2" strip set. Would be great to have more fabric to go with it for a full size quilt.

I didn't have breast cancer, but I did have colon cancer. Oct 31 will be one year since my diagnosis. I started quilting to pass time and wanted to make quilts for my 3 sons and my grand daughter. After their quilts were made I started making quilts to donate to the local cancer center. I would use this fabric to make quilts to donate.

Yes. It seems as though my life is full of people being newly diagnosed or affected by cancer. I've made small quilts for several people. I make quilts for donation through my local Guild, and while we have supported many worthwhile causes, it's time we focused on cancer. I will make that suggestion.

I quilt but haven't done breast cancer projects as I am involved in Blankets for MVOB.org for children in child services. My cousin's husband died a five years ago from brain cancer and now her significant other has prostrate and bone cancer. After this weekend it will mark quilt #45 for donation this year - all made & quilted by myself.  31 went to the local Women's Shelter & 14 are going to some charity in Belleville, WI - I think it's about time Breast Cancer Awareness gets its share -  I have the pattern book - "Quilt Pink for Hope" but I do not have alot of pink fabric so winning this fabric would help tremendously.  I am retired & not in the best of health myself but quilting is one activity I can do alot of & it keeps me really busy.  God's speed to all those survivors out there.

Last year I made 125 fabric rose corsages ( Joan Shay's design ) using 2 different breast cancer fabrics. I gave 25 to my customers and 100 went to a Quilt for a Cure Day at Quilts and Treasures in East Longmaedow, MA.

Two of my teachers at school unfortunately passed away due to breast cancer.  Every year I make a quilt to be auctioned and the money goes to scholarships in their memory. As a 5 year breast cancer survivor I am always attracted to pink ribbon fabrics and projects I can make from them.  I just designed and completed my first original pink ribbon lap quilt which I proudly display (and use) in my living room.  Each year I make pink ribbon gifts for my three sisters, mother, niece and grand niece as reminders to get checked each year.  Go pink!

Our 4-year-old grandson, Zachary, was diagnosed at 8 weeks old with stage 4s neuroblastoma, attached to his liver and adrenal gland.  Feeling helpless and searching for a way to help besides donating money for cancer research, I found both Project Linus and ConKerr Cancer.  I make quilts for Linus, and pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer, and I love it.  I also sew quilt tops for my daughter's church quilting group, and many of those quilts go to hospice.  Even though we are retired and on a fixed income, I do all I can to support research for all types of cancer, and those suffering from it.

I have my first project in mind for a breast cancer quilt. It is a paper-pieced quilt from the pattern by Jan Karasik called "Ribbons of hope". I have been working on my paper-piecing skills so I would be ready for this when I found the perfect fabric. I think it would be a great quilt for my mother.

Our hospital volunteers have a fundraiser ever year. This year we made a quilt for the fundraiser. We are collecting pink ribbon fabric to make next years quilt. This would be great in our collection! I also make a quilted purse every year for the fundraiser and this year plan to make an apron from pink ribbon fabric. My mother is a breast cancer survivor.

I have not yet made a quilt for brest cancer awareness.  Most of my donated quilts are for children's causes; my next one is to go to Quilts of Valor.  As a survivor of cerival cancer; I know how important yearly exams are for the early detection of both cervical and breast cancer.

My mother-in-law died of breast cancer. and we did a lot of relays, and my daughter made a quilt for breast cancer and I quilted it for her, and then she donated it for a raffle.  She also made  a quilt for my nephew who had cancer, and I quilted it also and then she gave it to them for a raffle. I made a quilt, and when I heard that my niece,  who has cancer, was having a raffle to raise some money for her treatments, I jumped on to the quilt and got it quilted just in time and gave it to them to raffle it off. My daughter and I both have made quilts for St. Jude.  My daughter has won patients choice, on her quilt. and the gift certificate she got, she made another quilt for the next year, and so did I.   I have quilted quilts for people who made quilts for people who had cancer.  I would love to make some quilts, and give for raffles to help out.  I enjoy making quilts.  I would love to win this fabric, and I would make it into a quilt for anyone who needs it.

My sewing students make quilts to benefit cancer patients.  At this time we have some pink quilt squares donated to the class to use when someone in our community is having a benefit raffle or auction.  This type of activity teaches these high school students about community awareness and giving back to the community.

My Mom is a breast cancer survivor. I am working on a quilt for her. I have plans to make a quilt / wall hanging  for my Doctors office, I am sure she will hang it in one of the exam rooms. I just bought some ribbons fabric to make my husband and one of my sons a hat.  I have made ribbon squares, that have gone into quilts to be raffled in support of cancer awareness.

Our church has a small group of crafters who sew and knit/crochet.  We have made hats for cancer patients and also heart pillows.  We also have made prayer shawls for several cancer patients, including breast cancer patients.  This would be a lovely fabric for a quilt to raffle for Relay for Life.  Several members are walking this weekend.

I lost my father to cancer and have had several friends who have survived.  One of the women in our office is a survivor and I would love to be able to make a quilt to donate to the cancer awareness events that the local women's business association has every year, I know it would be a hot item on the auction.  Thanks Northcott for doing this really great thing - love all your fabrics.

Yes, I love the cause and feel so lucky not to have had to personally deal with this scary cancer. I support those that are going through it, when you receive chemo many patients get very cold, I have made several blankets for local charities to give to those going through treatment.

I am new to quilting and one of the women who has been teaching me has just finished chemotherapy and radiation treatments for breast cancer.  I would love to make a quilt to honor her and also my wonderful mother-in-law who passed away in 1994 from breast cancer.

When you get cancer, you need to know that someone has been there, or is going thru the same thing.  As leader of a group within American Sewing Guild, I suggested we make comfort pillows with straps for our local community cancer sponsor center.  They give the pillows, for free, to new patients.  

My sister died of breast cancer 9 years ago, and I always do something in her honor - for several years, I gave "creative workshops" in bra decorating, then posted pictures on my blog.  I've given speeches to women's groups about creativity, and show all the decorated bras to make them giggle.  And I always remind them to get mammograms!

But the most important, to me, is that I volunteer as part of The Sister Study - a long term medical study that follows sisters of cancer patients.  Yes, we can comfort those who have cancer, but it is important to try and find a cause and cure.  Our loved ones and friends do not have to go through this devastating illness.

My mother went through chemo and radiation after breast cancer surgery in 1999. She always seemed to be cold after her chemo treatments. She is now a 13 year survivor! Now, a very close friend of mine is starting the same routine. She says she is cold during and after her chemo treatments too. I'm sure that a quilt made from this fabric collection would help keep her warm and really boost her spirits....and her favorite color happens to be pink!!!

My mother passed away from breast cancer a few years ago and I now have a dear friend who has very recently been declared cancer free after starting out being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. I just recently purchased fabric to make my friend a lap quilt which will be my first quilt for the cause. I hope to make many more in the future! Unfortunately I wasn't quilting when my mother was diagnosed, I would love to have made her a quilt!

I haven't made a Breast Cancer quilt yet, but this fabric would make a beautiful one!  I would donate it to our Prayer Quilt Chairperson to keep in reserve for when someone is diagnosed with breast cancer and we need a prayer quilt for her.  

I am a six year breast cancer survivor and have not done any quilts for the breast cancer organization but

have been diligently working on other projects for my community.  The fabric is beautiful and so are the people who volunteer their time and efforts to help find a cure for this disease.  I was lucky to have great doctors and nurses who helped me and I am most thankful for all that help. With God's help, a cure will be found.

I do quilt, however the chemo caps I have made the last several years for the cancer center were sewn, crocheted and knitted. Now my sister faces chemo for breast cancer and so they will be for her. I would love to make her a quilt. She is also a quilter and is always sharing with the rest of us.

Our local tv station sponsors a program called Friends for Life, where two friends remind each other to do their monthly breast exams - very helpful. My mother and I have an annual mother-daughter bonding event where we deliberately schedule our mamos at the same time and go together. We've done this for about 10 years.

While I have purchased pink ribbon quest for the cure fabrics (because of the donation), have not yet made a quilt because frankly, my favorite quilt color is blue and I'm not fond of pink. If win, then that will change and a quilt made!

I am a five year breast cancer surviver. I was fortunate to have had good insurance.  I am working for breast cancer awareness. For the past two years I have had a swatch of my hair permamently colored pink; I burn a pink light on my front porch all year and I requested my bowling league to wear something pink each Thursday in October.  I am 67 and get many odd looks for my pink hair; it's worth it.

I haven't made a quilt for cancer, but this fabric would get me started. I have machine embroidered angles for support of cancer however.

I have never done a breast cancer quilt. But I have recently bought material to start one.  I do think pink and I also support the cause. When I finish my quilt, It will be donated to the cause.

I would use the fabric to create a lap quilt project for the Miles Perret Cancer Services Center.  They do so much to support those undergoing cancer treatment it would be nice to provide something they could donate, raffle or auction off to raise funds to support their services.  Thanks,

I recently sponsored my niece and cousin in breast cancer run for the cure.  My cousin gave me a gift she had made.  It was a crocheted cup surround for coffee in the paper cups from the coffee shop.  If I won this fabric I would made some of those out of the fabric, sell them and donate the money to the run for the cure.

I would love to win this fabric. I am a quilter.  Both my Mother and my Grandmother had breast cancer.  I would check with a couple of my friends that are Breast Cancer survivors and find out how to donate to a group or give the quilt to someone who needs to know they are loved.  

I am a relatively new quilter and last May was approached by a counselor at my college in Doha Qatar which is Canadian - to make a quilt for a funds raising project for Breast Cancer Research.  Knowing I had Quilting Friends among the staff I decided to canvass the group and eventually got 7 local quilters and a long arm quilter back home in NL together to make the quilt.  We had a great group and a great time - lots of laughs and a very good feeling when it was presented to the counselors group to sell tickets on.  There is a picture of the quilt at this link:  www.quiltersclubofamerica.com/.../442805.aspx

The back is a fabric covered with hopeful sayings from Breast Cancer survivors and was named- by one of our members who was then a cancer patient herself - The Hope Quilt.

Haven't used this fabric line to make a quilt but have someone in mind for a cancer awareness quilt project.

My best friend since childhood and I are both breast cancer suvivors and quilters. We have worked on duplicate quilt projects in the past, and I would love to work on matching breast cancer awareness quilts with her to donate for this cause and for it's healing effect.

My husband has cancer an is in treatment now and doing well. I meet many different people fighting this fight when we go for his treatments.  I am now working with a group making quilts for our local homeless Veterans. The first quilt we preaented went to a Veteran who has cancer also. It was truely a blessing to reach out to him.

I have made several items from pink ribbon fabric for friends who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  The most popular items seem to be small drawstring bags and pillow cases.  I think my next project will be a small quilt to provide warmth during the chemotherapy procedure.

It is wonderful to see all the support for this terrible illness.  I know so many surviors that continue to count years - and as anniversarys and screenings approach, you can see the trepidation they experience.  I am a "new" quilter.  Have 4 in UFOs from the 4 classes I have taken.  I did finish a throw that has been donated to a nursing home.  I probably am not the right person to win this, but I want to thank you for your contest and pray that wherever these fat quarters end up they are a blessing to those people.

I haven't made any quilts yet to support breast cancer but I promote awareness whenever I can.  And it's not too late for me to start quilting to support the cause too.

I haven't made a breast cancer awareness quilt, but am quickly increasing my awareness of the ravages of this disease.  My young daughter-in-law is fighting the battle right now.  Keep up the good work of helping all of us to be more aware.

My baby sister was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. She is in NC and I am in Il.

The time between the diagnoses and the surgery was really tough, nothing I could do so help her. So I made her a lap quilt, it helped keep me sane and she really loves it. It helps her to know that even I cannot be close to her physically, she is always in my thoughts and prayers. i can see more quilts of comfort and hope in this package.

As part of my quilt group challenge I made a breast cancer quilt, six months later my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and I gave her the quilt when she came home from the hospital... I would use that fabric to make a quilt for my Aunt, who is battling breast cancer. Up to this point, I haven't made anything specific to breast cancer. I do a lot of quilting for Project Linus and our local Linus Connection in Austin, Texas. I would like to get more involved in supporting women fighting breast cancer.

I am a breast cancer survivor and a quilter.  I would love to make a quilt from this fabric and give it to the cancer center I go to so they could raffle it off and send the proceeds to the Susan G Komen charity.

My sister in law was just diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer and a week later started chemo therapy. I am making her a quilt so that she can use it during the treatments and know that I have sent her a "hug" when ever she needs one. I am a new quilter and would love to be able to use these fabrics so that I could make additional quilts to send "hugs" to others that are going through this also. I have become more aware of the many ways that I can support the causes to find a cure and have done some of them already. This would be another great way for me to help someone else through this trying time.

I have helped make quilts with my local Curves group to raffle to support cancer research.  I have also made various craft items from free standing lace ribbons to jewery.

I make three quilts for my local hospital to give to cancer patients who undergoing treatment for their cancers. I then make 3 pillow case from an extra block from each quilt. These pillow cases are given to 3 family members to help them celebrate another year of being 'cancer free'. I have done this for 15 years now when the first family member went into remission from breast cancer. Since then two more family members have battled cancer and won at this time.

I love this fabric, I just recently purchased some from a fabric buying trip I went on.  I have a girl friend who walks for cancer every year.  Most of her family members have some form of cancer and I have been working on quilts, bags an other iteams for her and family members.  I would love to have more of this fabric in support of breast cancer.

I haven't made quilts for Breast Cancer Awareness but that's a great idea.  I have had a couple of Aunts that had breast cancer, and a cousin that is just a year younger than me and she found it early.  She had surgery and is doing great.  This fabric will certainly make a wonderful quilt which I could give to my cousin.  

In the church-based day care center where I work, we are all women.  One of the teachers is a breast cancer survivor. This fabric would be the perfect way to make all of the women in our center just a small token to show our love and support for my dear friend and all of the women and men battling this illness as together we complete the Breast Cancer walk every year.  Thank you for this beautiful fabric to create something beautiful for this cause close to our hearts.

About five years ago my sewing group decided to make a quilt to donate to "The Quilt" which supported Breast Cancer Research in Canada -- I had some material with the ribbon design and gave each member of the group a piece to use in a 12" square -- each square was unique and created by the quilter.  When we had finished the square Carol put them all together and we did the hand quilting on a frame at the golf course over two months until it opened in early April.  We displayed out quilt at Joan's (the other one) wedding over the summer.  Carol finished the binding.  Binnie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer soon after we started and had surgery and chemo -- this really motivated us all to keep going and then a another friend was diagnosed as well.  We entered our quilt "And then there was One" in the quilt sale in Stratford and it was sold -- Joan (the other one) ended up buying it so it made a full circle.  I personally have had a couple of scares over the past few years but am cancer free in both breasts.  Thanks for allowing me to share our story of our quilt.

We are a group of women, full-time wives and mothers - most with grown children who work either full or part-time; volunteer with various organizations or groups, etc, etc.  In other words, “busy women” who like to “sew” but just never seemed to have the time or get around to finishing our various project.  About once every 12 to 18 months I invite my sewing friends to make the trip up to London and in October 2007 they all came.  I had 3 meters of this “breast cancer” material that I had purchased to make a vest for a Breast Cancer luncheon but didn’t quite get around to it.  We cut the material into 12 pieces and each person was to make an 18 inch finished square using whatever design they chose.  We didn’t know what we were going to do with the quilt but it was going to be fun doing it together.  We all know someone…

It took several months to get them all finished and Carol took them and put them all together.  She used our scraps to make the quilt back.  Now, we had to put it on a frame and do the hand quilting.  We found a large quilt frame and set it up at the club house.  Over the next 6 to 8 weeks we worked when we could get there – sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes in the evening.  We had to be finished the hand quilting before May 1st – the first bookings for the club house (meetings etc) were scheduled to begin.  We finished the hand quilting in time and Roy came by the club house and took pictures as Doreen put in the final stitch and then we took out the staples and clamps and held it up.  Not many dry eyes that night. We are proud of our quilt and sincerely hope that whoever receives this will feel comforted by the love and care that went into it’s creation.  We donated our quilt to "The Quilt" in Stratford which supported Breast Cancer research in Canada.

This was a very satisfying project -- while we were making the quilt one of our members was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery and chemo -- then just as we finished another friend travelled that same road.  The project helped us all feel that we were contributing to something special just for women!

Yes, I love the fact there are many different pink/cancer/ribbon fabrics to choose from to make prayer shawls, coasters, head scarves, and so much more!   I am in the process of making a wall quilt for my sewing room using paper piecing to celebrate my 5 year breast cancer survivorship.  The wall hanging consists of 8 pink ribbon blocks embedded on black checked and pink ribbon background. The center of the wall unit contains a heart of pink & dark pink ribbons.  It's nice to see and hear people DO care. All that's left to be done is add the borders, quilting and hanging.  It very pretty and I look forward to sewing other items for my friends I've met who are also deaing with breast cancer.  

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and am proud to say in July 2012, I am cancer free and off all medicines relating to my cancer.  I am so blessed!  I will continue to have my semi-annual checkup and will not do what I did before and put my mammogram off.  Please don't you either!

My 27 yr old daughter just found out Oct 5 2012 she has Triple Negative Breast Cancer.  The past 15 days have been an overwhelming whirlwind of doctor visits, medical testing, information, and planning.   As an RN, I am supposed to be knowledgeable and capable of helping patients cope but as a mother dealing with this tragedy, I feel so helpless.  I got this newsletter from QCOA and saw the contest for Northcott's Stonehenge Pink Ribbon fabric and thought it a good idea for me to get busy and sew something functional in support of my daughter's breast cancer fight.  Thank you Northcott for supporting Breast Cancer Research--my daughter is going to be a recipient of research funds in the days to come in her clinical trial studies.

I am a Mammography and Breast Ultrasound Technologist therefore I see the impact of breast cancer on women's lives everyday.  I also quilt/sew and have made several quilts and projects using fabrics past and present from Northcott.  I participate in the Relay of Life whenever I can commemorating my 3 Great Aunts who experienced breast cancer as well as my Grandfather (colon & lung), Father ( prostate) and Mother (bladder).  I so appreciate Northcott for supporting Breast Cancer Research and others who help give those with cancer the help they need to survive and live wonderful lives!  Please encourage women to get a screening mammogram every year!

I love the many breast cancer fabrics. I would make a lap quilt for a friend that just had breast surgery. She is doing great now, and I have been thinking of making something to cheer her up and let her know we are thinking about her.

I would like to make a tote for my mother who is a breast cancer survivor of 2 years.

I make many quilts for friends and relatives who contact cancer. I myself am a 27 year survivor. I also make Quilts of Valour-Canada and love the Oh Canada line of fr=abric from Stonehenge. Northcott makes beautiful fabric, in design and feel.

I have not yet quilted for a breast cancer survivor.  However, I am a colon cancer survivor and I understand the comforting effect of a quilt made by loving hands.  I quilt for kids in chemo at Mayo Clinic/St. Mary's Hospital (Rochester MN).  If I win the Pink Ribbon Fabric, I will make a quilt...or maybe 2...to donate to the local chemo facility where I had my 2 rounds of chemo.

Quilting for cause is going to be one of the things that I bring my community together with when I am able to get my store up and running. I think that working towards a cure for something is a great way to bring like minded people together. I don't know when the store will open but as soon as it does, I will be letting everyone know about it and the cause we are going to be working for.

I am a breast cancer survivor of ten years.  I have always wanted to make a pink quilt in honor of all survivors, and especially for the medical doctors that have helped care for me all these past 10 years.

Last  year I made a quilt for Making Strides Against Cancer and raffled it off at my work, and was able to raise over $600.00.  I have started another quilt which will also be raffled off, and all proceed will go to cancer research.

I am a quilter and lost my best friend(my aunt) to Breast Cancer, 6 year ago. I took Fridays off work, and would sit and hand piece while she was in bed. It gave my Uncle time to go get errands done, and gave me special alone time with Bev. Alas, she was gone too soon, her cancer being very aggressive.

I have always meant to make some comfort quilts, and have bought lots of pink ribbon fabric. But, now I am ill, and can only sew a little per day. Even so, I would love to win these fabrics...it might inspire me to attempt a comfort quilt.

I'm working on a quilt now and those would be a terrific addition to the fabric I'm already using. They are gorgeous.

I have participated in a number of love quilts for friends who have had breast cancer.  Plus about a year ago my aunt was diagnosed and going through treatment so I made some pink ribbon blocks, mailed them out to the rest of the family so they could sign and write messages on them, once I got the blocks back I assembled the quilt and mailed it off to her.  My sister found a roses and pink ribbon flannel print for the backing, it was perfect!  

A lifelong sewer, knitter, crosstitcher and embroidery person, I finally took up quilting in retirement.  I am hooked!! My daughter is a wonderful nurse who works with patients fight various horrible diseases.  She is a BMT nurse.  Now I am starting to make items for use with patients like hers and also for others in need.  This is wonderful material to remindn us all that our sisters need us and our help.  I hope my quilts and projects can help.

This is a lovely package of pink ribbon fabric.  I am a breast cancer survivor myself, and appreciate everything that is "pinkified" during October.  (My favorite is the football teams wearing the gloves, shoes, sweatbands, etc.)  I am trying to support all cancer survivors by making chemo caps for those who need a cover up during chemo.  Doesn't take much fabric, and I have lots of fleece on hand to make them soft inside.  The ones I gave a friend were really liked, so I hope the ones that are given away are also helpful.

Hello, I'm from Germany and over here we have the "Herzkissenaktion" or "Heart-pillow-action": many women and even men are sewing heart-pillows which  will be given to women and even to some men who are suffering from breast-cancer. These pillows will be worn under the arm to alleviate pain and besides it's a sign that there is someone thinking of you and hoping with you!!! And these pillows are all donated to the affected women! Till now there are thousands of pillows sewn and brought to hospitals to be given away to breast cancer patients. And there are many supporters who spend fabric, batting and time for this action!!

I completed a block for a group sampler quilt that was raffled with the proceeds going to breast cancer research.

I have made a breast cancer theme quilt for the last 5 years for fundraisers in support of a friend battling breast cancer and then in memory of her.  The last two years the funds have been divided for two purposes:  #1~between area women to help with costs that insurance doesn't cover (transportation, motels, meals) when they travel for treatment and #2~ to help purchase a new mammogram machine at our local hospital (25-30 miles away from most of us!).   Everytime I shop for fabric I ALWAYS pick up something PINK for the next fundraiser quilt!    Our group is KFAC - Kiester for a Cure - Kiester, Minnesota.

That is very pretty fabric.  Would absolutly use it to make a quilt for the cause.

I always make a quilt for our relay for life team to raffle. This would be a wonderful set of fabric to use in our raffle quilt.

When I found out that my good friend had breast cancer, I made a quilt and sold chances on it.  This helped her with at least some of her medical expenses.  I was so very pleased at how everything worked out and the amount of money we were able to give the family, that I am now thinking of making at least one quilt a year for the cancer organization in our town to raffle off.  The proceeds would go for cancer and a wonderful warm quilt for the person who would win it.  This fabric would make a beautiful quilt.

My 32 year old niece (with 6 children) has stage 2 inflammatory breast cancer.  She is quite ill as she has been enduring chemo (to which she's had some pretty scary reactions) before they do a double mastectomy and then radiation.  I made her a breast cancer quilt, but the package of fabric I ordered only had one print of pink ribbons and I was very upset when it arrived, but I made the quilt anyway.  With these beautiful fabrics I could make her a spectacular quilt to keep her warm during this horrific time.

I would love the pink ribbon fabric.  i walked in the three day breast cancer walk and am a hospice nurse and quilter so i would love to do something to commemorate all those people.

I am a breast cancer survivor.  I don't spend a lot of time feeling sorry for myself.  I just get out and enjoy living.  I make quilts for the neo-natal intensive care units at two large hospitals.  I also have committed to make small quilts for tiny babies who do not live at birth.  These projects make me feel so worthwhile and help others who need encouragement.  I love living and love my familes support!!

I lost my brother to leukemia in october 2002, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in may 2002 and passed away may 2005, my husband of 28 years was diagnosed with liver cancer on halloween 2003. He passed away october 2006. I could never grieve for one, cause I always had another loved one at home dying. When my husband died, I closed my quiltroom door. You see he always critiqued my quilts. And to get him out of the house and for a ride , which he enjoyed, we picked out a quilt shop and away we went. We hit all the shops in central and western michigan. We also went on a walk about and stopped at many shop in illinois, iowa, N and S dakota, wyoming, nebraska, and colorado. 10 months after his death, I became disabled in MVA. But now I finally opened the quilt room door. I am excited to begin again. I create my own quilts and patterns, so look for them! Thank you.
