We have all heard of quilt guilds, groups and circles. Do you belong to one? If you do, what are the benefits of membership? Would you recommend that new quilters join a guild or create their own group?
To participate in this month's contest, simply scroll down and post your answer in the "Add a Comment" box below. Winning responses are picked at random from all the entries we receive. We will give you until the end of the month to reply and will announce the winners here in June.
You could win a $10 gift certificate to ShopFonsandPorter.com. Good Luck!
Disclaimer: Winners will be contacted via email. If you do not respond within 7 days, your prize will be awarded to another participant.
Congratulations to our lucky Winners:
Dawn Paoletti: Yes, I've been a member of my quilt guild for about 7 years. I can't count how many times I've benefited from the collective experience in that group.
craftskg: I do not belong to a group at this time. I am online if I have questions. I am looking to join a quilters group shortly. I think a group is great support when you are having a problem or just for friendship.
dorothy.marsik: I belong to a quilt group at our church (St. Joseph Peacemakers). Currently, there are ten of us. We meet every Tuesday for two hours. We donate our quilts to various charitable organizations and our local hospital who sends each new baby home with a quilt.
