Do you have a favorite quilt block that you've used more than once? If so, what is it?

Christmas Memories will be in the November/December issue of Love of Quilting. It's a block I used over 20 years ago to make a tree skirt. It is a fun block to see go together and even with the set in seams, easy to assemble.  I used the Fons & Porter Diamond Ruler as a fussy cut template to get the blocks with the sleighs and angels just right. I think I'd like to try a whole quilt with this block sometime! Diane, Assistant Editor

I've made one king and three queen quilts using variations of the Trip Around the World pattern.  One for each of my children.  I hand quilted them all.  I love to make the log cabin block.  It's an easy block but one that you can get a twist to, if you wander off at the end of your seams.  I did that a lot when I first started quilting.  I'm really a fan of all traditional blocks.

The Ohio Star. It works so well with so many different quilts and runners.

I have thought and thought about this question, and for me there is no favorite block.  I don't usually make the same quilt twice.  I want to experience them all.  I don't think that I could ever pick just one block.  I do tend to lean towards Star blocks though...but a favorite - hmmm - nope can't think of one.

I don't think I have a favorite block.  I do tend to use a lot of half sq triangles in my patterns. I also like star blocks, but not successful in making them yet.  I also use a lot of embroidery blocks.
