Trip through the Rockies

Just wanted to share some pic from my 7 day trip through the rockies.

This is me walking through the park where we had a picnic in steamboat springs.

this is my hubby of 25 years.

please read and note the signs on the buildings.

This is hubby and I on the day of our 25th Anniversary

here we are getting ready to board the train to go up the Royal Gorge.

This is a picture of a wooden water pipe line that was built in the 1920's

Hubby and I in Garden of the Gods

This is the view from on top of the world. We went up pikes peak. I got altitude sickness and it was cloudy that day.

On a clear day you can see into five states. This is a shot I got looking out toward Colorado Springs.

When we reached the peak, it was 25 degrees and we were in the clouds. When we left Mantua, it was 74 degrees.

in the back ground of this picture you are viewing the largest Gold mining operation in the world. It produces 8 million dollars in gold a day.

here is hubby on the cog train leaving the station to go up pikes peak. I want to send this photo to Richard Petty. Because that is who he reminds me of in this photo. ( for those that don't know he was a NASCAR driver.)

This picture is not very good. we forgot our camera when we went to eat our Anniversary dinner. This is the best one we could get without a flash. We took it with my phone.
