Here's a pic of the final quilt. The piano keys-style scrappy borders were added and I quilted it with free-motion meandering. This quilt is used regularly on our king size bed.

I love to create and make things. It's just how I'm wired. For the past eight years I have been quilting, or at least, trying to quilt. My first attempts were pretty amaturish, but my skills have improved and my newer quilts seem to as well. At present I have three tops that need to be sandwiched and quilted. One of those has been partially quilted on my domestic machine. It would have been done months ago had I not run into problems with tension. I can't count the number of times I "unstitched" and started over. I tried everything I could think of including rethreading the machine, switching the upper thread, rewinding the bobbin, switching the bobbin thread, changing the needle, and reinstalling the darning foot. Things are working better and I can see light at the end of the tunnel. This quilt will get finished this year...I hope.
