Have a look under Quiltville.com. I can't seem to copy and paste the website address! :-(

If you have a look at this website, you will see that each piece is 1.5"!!! Trouble is, I don't fancy having to cut 2 3/8 inch squares, so I may cut 5" squares then stitch HST. I don't really want to have to use paper "Thangles" either, as I don't have the patience to sit and pull bits of paper out with tweezers. I'm more likely to also stretch the pieces out of shape!

Although there is an example in YouTube of how to stitch HST with folded paper next to the stitches which helps keep a straight line. If anyone wants to have a look, it's called half square triangles with Trish Stuart.

Thing is, there's also an interesting tutorial by the lovely Jenny Doan of Missouri quilts.com, who makes 4 HSTin 1 go. I'm worried that these are cut on the bias, and that I'll stretch them when I stitch them to another square! Has anyone any experience of doing HST this way?

If not, I'm hoping to have a go with some ugly fabric after my rest this afternoon and will let you know how I get on!

ttfn, happy stitching, Lindsey, Norfolk, UK
