A Block a Month Quilt Kit

I began a quilt almost 10 years ago from a something called “Block of the Month Quilt Kit”.  Sometime between the sixth and the eighth month, the kits that I were purchasing were discontinued.  I was never so disappointed.  I cannot find any of the fabric anywhere!  I was not informed that they were not restocking the kits.   Has this happened to you?

hi melanie,   i've never had this happen, i think most places when they commit to a block of the month make sure they have stock.  sometimes they will substitute fabrics.   who did this?   i certainly wouldn't want to shop there.      gini

I have had no issues in getting block of the month kits. The only one problem I had is that they noticed a few months they sent to little fabric, which then the next month they sent extra. One BOM kit was for 18 months and another was for 6 months.

I cannot publish the name of the company, but I will say that they are a national retail chain.  I took classes there to learn the basics of quilting.  I only bought a few of the blocks instead of them all, because I couldn't afford it.  They stated they would have the kits for over a year.  They discontinued the quilt blocks shortly after my classes and when I returned to buy more they were all gone.  I bet you can guess the company.  Thanks for your comments.
