My Beautiful Round Robin Quilt

This is my second time of doing the Round Robin quilts here on QCA, I joined this group when it started. I had made this Mariners Compass Block as one of my first Paper Piecing projects.I did this in all bright batiks and never really knew what to do with it..so when the RR came about for round #2 I used it as my center block . the ladies in my group were : StefiKay from Nova Scotia,Canada, Nana , from Virginia, Kathy ,from Florida ,and Jodie from Florida, These Ladies put their heart and souls into this quilt ,and I love each one of them for it. this is just a beautiful quilt . It measures 106qs in. so it will be the biggest quilt I've ever quilted. Now I have to figure out what kinda of special backing I'm going to use on this . thank you so very much ladies for making my quilt a beauty..Barbara

Quilt Show ,Lee Summit Mo.

Today Melody and I went to a quilt show in Lee Summit Missouri after we made a quick stop At Quilters Station , These are just a few of the quilts ,as again my battery on my camera was low. but I did get several good photos .These quilts were all done by the Lee Summit quilt guild. and is a very moderate size quilt show. They had several local vendor here around 20 is my guess an some beautiful quilts. I hope you all enjoy the show .

This first picture is of myself and my friend Chanelle who use to have her sop here in liberty. It was so good to see her again . She is now working at Quilters Station and loves it. Sorry I could not get pictures of the shop .they do not allow .

The next one is Melody checking out the plantation Ladies quilt it was really beautiful a lot of the work was Embroidery

this quilt was all hand applique ,and was stunning

this quilt was just beautiful ,this picture just cn't show how much . I voted for this one as best of show . It was just awesome.

Well I hope you all enjoyed, wish my camera had been fully charged. these were some really amazing quilts ..We had a great time...

Quilt Shows in the Missouri /Kansas Area

I got this email message form one of the quilt shops here in Missouri and thought all of you in the area including Kansas,,just might be intrested in them. 2 Very important Quilting events will be happening during the next week or 2, so you don't want to miss out on either !

First I want to mention that the shop , Primitive Stitches will be closed from Friday August 31st and will not re-open until the morning of Sept 5th at 10 am.

I will be vending at a 3-day quilt show in INDEPENDENCE MO at the Roger T. Sermon Center at the corner of Noland Rd. and Truman Rd. It is the Independence Piece Makers Quilt Club is sponsoring its annual show this weekend. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday. It’s free, but donations will be accepted at the door.

Lots of wonderful quilts to view, and Vendors on site for your shopping pleasure.

then I will come home and spend Tuesday unpacking and putting everything pack in place(I hope), and open Wed. morning at 10am. for those coming to Warrensburg,

Our local Inspired Quilter's Guild is Sponsering another wonderful quilting event, like we did last year. Only this year it is being held at a new location. There will be 2 different sessions a day session at 1:30 and another one at 6:30pm. I will be working at the evening session, but will be at the shop during the day ,for those visiting from out of town, that would like to stop by the shop and visit or see the shop if they have not been in before.
