Life teaches us many lessons! Some of the greatest lessons in my life have been taught to me by my quilts and the people that I have met through my quilting.
I love this little poem... and saw this cute little pattern - I got out all my cat fabrics at the time and used them in it...
althea, i am amazed by all the quilts you have made, the cats are adorable. gini
althea, i like this a lot. i did a cat quilt last year for my sister. she loved it
I am getting ready to do another one - much more complicated - It is called House cats... the pattern calls for needle turn but I think I am going to do raw edge applique - she gives you directions for both... plus I have a cats in garden quilt that I bought as a BOM 7 years ago - it was way above my skill level then - not sure if it is now but I am going to pull it out and try and do it again...
Such a cute quilt! I'm still in awe of how much you get done.
This is so cute.I'm with the girls. I can't believe the collection of quilts you have made and I too am amazed at how many you've done. I always forget to take pictures before I give them away, but of 'course who'd have thought I'd be doing this blogging to be able to share.
this is just a sampling too - lol - I don't think the site would have room enough for all the quilts - When Christmas comes closer and I pull out the rest of the Christmas quilts I will post them - and I have 5 other Beth Ferrier Quilts that I have made... You should really try to make one of her quilts - she is a very good teacher and her quilts are beautiful. If you want to see some of them I haven't posted here, you can go over to QNNtv and look at the MOM for September 2006 - that is me and there are some of the other ones posted there.
I love this hobby of mine and would go nuts I think if I couldn't sew / quilt - I started working when I was 14 and when I retired from the Af at 47 I wasn't ready to just sit there - I can't work a regular job anymore so doing the quilting that I do has kept me alive and kicking...
I am amazed sometimes when I think of all the quilts I have made...lol... and there are so many family members that I have to make for - and grand babies... yummy...
