Celebrate your love for quilting on Valentine's Day!

We LOVE quilts. We LOVE our QCA Members! And we LOVE Valentine's Day! Why do we love all these things? I'll tell you why:

1. We love our QCA members because they keep us inspired.

2. We love quilts because they keep our hearts warm and our hands busy.

3. We love Valentine's Day because we can celebrate all this love!

What better way to show our love than to have a give away?! Three of our loved QCA members will win a fat quarter bundle of Red Rooster Fabric and a copy of the newly released Love of Quilting March/April issue!

Valentine's Day happens to fall right in the slump of winter. You know the feeling. You're going a little cabin crazy, your vitamin D levels are at rock bottom and your bed seems like the place to be every minute of the day. It's a rough time, and can kill the quilt-spiration vibes! To refuel and revive you, here are some quilt patterns you will find from the newest issue of Love of Quilting. If you aren't one of the lucky winners, you can still enjoy all the quilt goodness by picking up the magazine or choosing a few of your favorite quilt patterns!

Circling Stars:

I can't get enough of this poppy fabric motif in this punchy quilt. The red, white and black pop out in the quilt blocks. Is it calling to you?

Electric Blue

Making a bright quilt is a guaranteed way to bust out of your winter slump. Nancy Mahoney always knocks it out of the park with her quilt designs. This clean blue and white quilt is no different!

Ruby Sunrise

Clearly I'm a Nancy Mahoney fan. This quilt with medallion quilt blocks is the definition of simple elegance.

Now that you've drooled over the amazing patterns found in the magazine, enter to win one of our Valentine's Day prize packs! Simply write your answer to the below question in the comments section of this blog post. Three winners will be randomly selected on Tuesday February 17th!

Why does quilting bring you joy?

Simply answer this question for your chance to win!

Happy Quilting!

I love seeing the faces & joy of the people I give quilts to.  I pick pattern & fabrics with a person in mind to make the quilt for.

All of the many colors and designs of fabrics available today to make a quilt brings me so much joy.  They just lift me out of any depression I am feeling.  Right now I am working on a red, white, and blue quilt.  Loving every moment, such joy in my heart!

that amazing medallion quilt by Nancy Mahoney brings me joy. I also am overjoyed to present an expectant mom with an adorable baby quilt that I made with my own 2 hands (and a sewing machine. )

Quilting brings me joy, because it brings me peace.  I can create something beautiful to share with someone special.  While I have quilted on my own, I took my first class this morning and know it will help me become even more peaceful, i.e. make fewer mistakes. :)

I am just beginning to learn how to quilt.  I love the hum of the sewing machine. It is such therapy. Makes me forget about all the stress of work and life. My first quilt is a nine patch baby quilt for my brand new niece due in April. I love the artwork I see other people create. I know how much it would mean to me if I received a quilt from someone. I look forward to sharing my creativity and love with my precious niece.

Fabric has always been my passion! I love the feel of a good cotton, pulling the prints and colors together into a beautiful blend that will become a quilt. Watching the assorted prints blend into a thing of beauty that keeps us warm inside & out. The joy of being able to say "I made this". Any day I can play with fabric is a good day! Thanks
