There has been so much going on with QCA that I could not wait until Friday to post my blog. Never fear, there will be another post on Friday. Let's dive in...
New Social Media!
If you are like me, you might be addicted to social media. Facebook, Twitter, Instgram, Pinterest...the list goes on and on (it could be a full time job just checking these every day). I am very happy to announce QCA now has an Instagram and Pinterest account! On Instagram we will be featuring sneak peeks at quilts for Easy Quilts, behind the scenes photos, and pretty photos of quilts for inspiration. What's even better: you can use our hashtags and we might regram you! If you have an Instagram account, search for quiltersclubofamerica. Remember-no spaces! Or go online to: http://instagram.com/quiltersclubofamerica
Our Pinterest account can be found at http://www.pinterest.com/quiltersclub/ or search quiltersclub on your account. We will be pinning lots of things pertaining to quilts and some things not pertaining to quilts (hint: it's food!)
Disclaimer: I started these accounts yesterday, so they may seem a bit "bare." However, I am making it my duty to build these sites and pin and photograph on a daily basis!
My hope is that these accounts are another way to interact with each other, reach out to others, and stay connected with QCA. If you are asking "Pinta-what?" and "Insta-who?" Click here to read about these social media sites, how you can set up an account, and what to use them for.
For the non-techies out there
Per user requests (which are fabulous, by the way), I have started a forum titled Answers to Tech Problems. This forum is dedicated to answering computer problems that may hinder QCA. For example, there is a page on blocking pop-up windows and how to stay signed in to QCA even after the browser is closed. Information about Pinterest and Instagram is also on this forum. If you have ideas for new pages, please DM me or post on the QCA Suggestions thread. Your feedback is what makes this site run!
As promised-the humor
Now that you have read my rambles, here is Ode to A Quilter's Husband
The husband of this quilter is a very special, patient guy—
Who doesn’t complain about how much fabric his wife may buy.
Through the years he’s picked up a lot of quilting lore—
Because on this subject his wife can get to be quite a bore.
Stay tuned on Friday for more announcements!
